The Georgia Steel Guitar Association was founded in late 2003 with the following mission statement:
To bring steel guitar enthusiasts together for the purposes of interaction, promotion and recognition of the steel guitar's integral contribution to Georgia's music development past, present and future.
The Association is based in Georgia, and the roster includes members from Alabama, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Herby Wallace
Herby has recorded four DVDs, fifteen albums and has written forty courses for the steel guitar. He has enjoyed playing regularly with such artists as Donna Fargo, Leroy VanDyke, Con Hunley and Nat Stuckey. He also played with Roy Clark, Connie Smith, Willie Nelson, Jack Green, Billy Joe Spears, and Jody Miller, and recorded with Alabama.
